Your tasks:

  • Collaborate with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to support the design, implementation, and evaluation of new algorithms, machine learning models, and data-driven features.
  • Assist in the maintenance and optimization of existing services to meet current needs.
  • Help design and implement components that are sustainable, considering observability, computational costs, ease of use, and future maintenance.
  • Participate in building, deploying, monitoring, and operating services within our infrastructure, while automating processes where possible.
  • Work with technologies such as Scala, Python, Kafka, Kubernetes, Snowflake, DBT, Spark, and AWS.

 

 

Your skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience in Software Engineering.
  • Basic programming knowledge in either Scala or Python, with exposure to deploying and configuring applications on AWS.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and DBT.
  • Familiarity with scalable software and services that process large volumes of data, including real-time processing components and REST services.
  • Understanding of data storage solutions (e.g., relational databases, key-value stores) and related data processing technologies. 
  • Proficient English language skills (German is not required).

Position Overview: We are looking for a Junior/Mid-Level Data Engineer who is enthusiastic about software development and eager to learn. In this role, you will assist in the design and development of scalable components and contribute to our machine learning and LLM models. We prioritize building testable, maintainable, and clean code.
